OpLove Session - Tacoma Family Photographer

I realized today I never blogged this wonderful session from November!  I met this wonderful family for their session in the POURING rain!  Yes!  POURING rain!  You can never predict the weather in Washington state.  They were great sports and we were able to get some fun photos.  Enjoy!

It's the best feeling in the world when a student tells me their Mom or Dad is coming home from a deployment.  After 10 years of teaching on JBLM, I've seen 100's of parents coming and going for months at a time and even longer.  It always amazes me to watch the children press forward and be strong through the difficult separation.  I always wondered what it was like when a parent came home.  Recently, I had the honor of photographing a homecoming for a wonderful family.  I felt so honored to be a part of this special moment!

Tacoma Family Photographer - Operation Love ReUnited: C&D

Great things are coming this month! My goal to revealing my new website and logo is June 27th! (The last day of the school year for me!) I can't wait to share what I've been working so hard on. Another great thing that happened to me recently is I found out I'll be teaching 3rd grade next year. I'm soooooooooo excited to be returning to the classroom!

Here's a sneak peek from one of my recent sessions. I recently joined Operation Love ReUnitedas a volunteer photographer. I get the privilege of documenting the journey that families go through when their spouse deploys. I met up with C&D for their predeployment session. They were so easy to work with and bonded instantly when they told me they were from New Jersey too! ;-) Here are a couple of my favorites!
